Nowadays, uploading and watching videos on the Internet is something common, which makes screen recording applications more and more valuable. Anyone who wants to post a video tutorial or review on the Internet can find numerous programs, which come with all sorts of features. ScreenFaceCam brings a simpler approach to recording the screen. It provides the same basic functions as other screen recorders, but its functionality is more straightforward. The application can be used to record the entire screen or part of it, with or without a webcam input and it allows you to record your voice as well.

ScreenFaceCam is absolutely free, but it provides support only for Windows 7 and Windows 8. It takes only a few seconds to install the application's core components and you will not encounter any difficulties along the way. In terms of hardware requirements, the software is not too demanding, so you don't need the latest hardware to run it.

When launched, ScreenFaceCam will display a blank interface with only a few top menus. You can make all the necessary preparations by selecting a series of options in these top menus. The software will automatically detect your webcams and microphones and you can select them in the Cam And Mic menu. You can also select an output quality and set ScreenFaceCam to record the entire screen or to use the interface's size and position as the recording region.

The recording area can be previewed on the same user interface, after selecting the View option, in one of the top menus. Finally, you must designate an output file, after which you can start recording. Once you stop recording, the application will store your video, in the folder of your choice, in WMV format.

Pros:
Preparing a recording session does not involve anything more than selecting a few options in a series of top menus. The applications allows you to record the entire screen or part of it and it allows you to choose between different output qualities. You can also include a webcam feed and record your voice with a microphone.

Cons:
A toolbar with a few buttons can make the user interface more comfortable.

With ScreenFaceCam, it takes only a few clicks to prepare and start a recording session, with microphone and webcam inputs.
